Course Description
Participants will be able to:
- Understand the key components and functions of a forklift.
- Perform pre-operational safety checks.
- Operate a forklift safely under supervision.
- Understand basic load handling and stacking techniques.
- Identify and avoid common hazards in the workplace.
Safety is our top priority. All trainees will be assessed on both theory and practice to ensure competence and confidence in real-world scenarios.
Who Should Apply?
This course is ideal for:
- New operators in cold chain with little or to no experience.
- Workers transitioning into warehouse, logistics, or construction roles.
- Employers seeking to improve workplace safety and compliance.
- Recently graduate and/or unemployed willing to gain crucial skill towards accessing a worker position in a cold chain warehouse, logistics or construction role.
Syllabus Outline
The training is delivered in two parts:
- Classroom Theory –
- Safety regulations
- Operational principles
- Risk awareness
- Practical Driving Session
- Guided forklift operation exercises
- Load handling
- Manoeuvring in a controlled environment.
