Maintenance of low-carbon and renewable energy systems is essential; alongside the deployment of new technologies, training of maintenance technicians is key to their long-term success.
Bronze level training aims to introduce new technicians to the process of maintenance and the basic principles of common systems, with a focus on safe working and good process.

Course Description
Bronze level training includes practical experience within a controlled training room setup. Students completing this course can expect to be competent in safe working practices and daily maintenance of cold-chain and renewable energy systems upon completion.

- Hygiene and professional conduct

- Safe working with electricity
- Refrigerant safety
- Solar photovoltaic generation systems
- Diesel generators
- Preventative maintenance and daily checks
Who Should Apply?
New technicians or technicians with limited experience. This course will start with the basic safety and familiarity training essential for all technical staff. This course is mandatory for students wishing to progress through the Maintenance Technician program to Silver, Gold and Diamond levels.
