Picture of the week: Engagement session with the KOTUNGO Cooperative

This week's Picture of the week shows an engagement session with the KOTUNGO Cooperative in Ngoma District, focusing on understanding community needs and challenges to inform the design of sustainable cold-chain business models. 

The visit was conducted by representatives from Heriot-Watt University — Dr. Florian Scheuring, Assistant Professor of Business Management; Dr. Yen Tran, Associate Professor in Innovation, Strategy, and International Entrepreneurship; and Dr. Melissa Marques McEwan, Assistant Professor in Sustainable and Circular Businesses. 

Their interaction aimed to explore practical approaches to developing inclusive and efficient cold-chain solutions tailored to local contexts.
