Picture of the week: A solar-powered refrigerator

ACES staff explains to primary pupils the operation of a solar-powered refrigerator that uses an internal water-jacket cooling system, alongside a guide for optimally arranging fruits and vegetables inside, at the Festival of Cooling.

Our next event is the Cool World Conference - taking place on the 28th and 29th October 2025, and at the University of Birmingham. Harnessing the potential of ACES, the aim of the two-day event is to catalyse collaborative thinking and action for accelerated delivery of fully integrated, affordable, sustainable, resilient and inclusive cooling and cold-chains for all.
