Digital Learning Manager

Working with our academic partners, the Clean Cooling Network (CCN) is building out its portfolio of courses online to expand access to hands-on, modular, and locally relevant training. It is aiming to create a vertical learning experience as well as a learning journey for its students to support employability. 

We are also working on accreditation to offer both diploma and degree courses. Working with our academic trainers, lecturers, and digital teams, the Online Learning Manager will manage this roll-out, ensuring, among other things academic quality; effectiveness; accessibility; learner and employer engagement, and digital equity.

Position Overview

The role spans instructional design, platform management (primarily Moodle), and cross-team support to deliver world-class training accessible to diverse learners across Africa and further afield.

The successful candidate is likely to have a combination of technical skills and instructional design expertise. You will be experienced in e-learning technologies and platforms, as well as adult learning theories, and instructional design models. Strong organisational capabilities, project management skills, and the ability to multitask effectively are essential.

In addition to managing the development and delivery of e-learning content and its accuracy and accessibility, you will also be responsible for monitoring, evaluation and reporting on the effectiveness of the content, and making improvements.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Support the development of CCN’s digital learning architecture (LMS, user experience, access protocols, standard course infrastructure).
  • Support trainers and lecturers in converting modules into digital-friendly and accessible formats.
  • Design teaching materials content in coordination with the trainers and lecturers.
  • Establish and maintain rigorous quality control processes (e.g. regular user testing and feedback).
  • Monitor learner engagement metrics and develop continuous improvement plans.
  • Coordinate online moderation, assessments, certifications, and interactive forums.

  • Student and academic engagement
  • Instructional design, e-learning, education technology and gamification techniques
  • Managing educational online platforms and projects
  • Familiarity with Moodle and associated coding language
  • Usage of content-design tools including AI-based technologies.
  • Potential previous experience working with a UK-based university and/or certification body.
