Working closely with academic trainers, lecturers, digital teams, and accreditation bodies, the Teaching Monitoring, Evaluation, and Courses Quality Control Manager will play a key role in overseeing the design, delivery, monitoring, and continuous evaluation of training programmes, ensuring alignment with national and international standards and best practices.

Position Overview

This role is responsible for leading the monitoring, evaluation, and quality assurance of all teaching and training activities at ACES. You will coordinate across teams to maintain high standards in course design, delivery, learner engagement, and outcomes tracking.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in educational quality assurance, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), curriculum development, and competence-based training. Familiarity with adult learning principles, accreditation requirements, and digital learning platforms is essential.

In this position, you will monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching programmes, report on key indicators, and ensure that feedback and findings inform continuous improvement. You will also coordinate accreditation-related activities, ensuring that all courses comply with national and international quality standards and contribute to ACES’s mission of promoting sustainable cooling through inclusive, high-quality education. 

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Review course materials to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with ACES Equality commitments.
  • Support trainers in developing lessons, assessments, and effective learner feedback mechanisms.
  • Monitor course delivery and maintain quality and consistency across courses.
  • Implement, manage and continuously improve the marking moderation system.  
  • Perform Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) activities to ensure continuous quality improvement, including data collection, analysis, and dissemination of lessons learned.
  • Track learner engagement, completion rates, and satisfaction; analyse findings to inform improvements.
  • Prepare quality reports and recommend updates based on evaluation data.
  • Ensure all courses and documents align with accreditation requirements at both national and international levels.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for audits, course approvals, and external reviews.
  • Conduct training sessions for ACES staff to promote continuous improvement and uphold quality standards.
  • Lead the section on MEAL and QA within the CCN Teaching community of practice to support good practices sharing among the network.
  • Coordinate external benchmarking, accreditation processes, including preparing, organizing, and submitting required documents and reports.
  • Develop and improve a teaching handbook for the CCN and ACES towards implementation of targeted good academic practices. 
Skills & Experience

You will need to show qualifications and/or proven experience in:

  • Experience with Moodle or other LMS platforms
  • Experience in technical or vocational training
  • Proven experience in teaching quality assurance, academic development, or monitoring and evaluation in higher education
  • Familiarity with international accreditation processes
  • Previous work with international education partners is an asset

Qualifications may include: 

BSc or MSc in Education, Education Planning, Education Management, Educational/Instructional Design, Curriculum Development and/or Quality Assurance in Education.
